Wardrobe fitting – The preparation normally takes place few days to one day before the shoot or on the day of the shoot approx 2 hours before the shoot starts. In most cases wardrobe, hair & Make up will be provided by the client, but in some cases you will have to come with your own wardrobe, so you need to discuss with your agency what are the type of clothing require for the shoot. Also don’t think about how you are dressed normally, think about the shoot concept, so you will have to wear whatever clothes the client tells you to wear.
Stay Hydrated – Drink plenty of water in order to stay hydrated, because you might be shooting outdoor in the middle of the dessert in a hot humid day, so its important to drink plenty water so you don’t feel weak and dehydrated during the shoot. Eat Less and Stay healthy – Eating too much before the shoot can make you feel bloated and sluggish which can affect your performance during the shoot. A photo shoot day can be very exhausting and demand lots of physical activity, so its important to eat less and keep fit for the job. Act according to the photographer or director instructions– They are more like your boss during the shoot, listen to what they want and expect of you. The photographer or the director will go though the mood board with you, to help you understand the overall idea of the shoot and press. Be Positive and Flexible – Client always like to work with a model who has a positive attitude and flexible to work with, your character is the most defining factor of a successful shoot.
